Here I am again around 4 AM with my sweetheart. She's so exauhsting, but everytime I look down at her lil face I know it's worth every sleepless moment.
We're going to St George this weekend for baby Gordons baby blessing. We are so excited to see Gordon, and Owen. it'll be fun too see all the new cousins together!
im especially excited to go swimming :)
Devin got a new job at Osmond Designs. For those who don't know what that is, it's a very nice furniture store. The ones you walk into and drool, and wish you could have a home that looks identical to the displays. The key word is "Wish" though. It's very, very expensive.
Oaklie is finally asleep.... so i'm headed back to bed.
thank goodness.

Oaklie
She only came 9 days late...
I was finally enduced 9 days after my due date. Giving birth was nothing like I expected, it was so... easy. I am all for epidurals! I do have to praise all those mommies out there that have gone through labor and given birth NATURALLY... because when I was dialated to a 4 I could only imagine the pain that would follow as I slowly dialted the rest of the way. THERE WAS NO WAY I was going to wait for that pain, so I buzzed for the drug that will forever have a place in my heart. The Epidural! It was amazing the difference I felt. There is no way after having that epidural i'll ever choose to go through a natural birth. But once again.. those who have, and that will again, More power to you!!
Oaklie Alis Bascom
born June 14th 2011
7lbs 15oz 20 in
When I first saw her, I could have sworn she was a red head. Devin and I both looked at eachother and I know we were thinking the same thing... OH SHOOT. She was beautiful and I would love to have a red head. But we both didn't imagine a Oaklie with red hair. so we were both sort of panicing about what new name we were going to have to come up with by the time we left the hospital. luckily after her bath she was blonder than blonde... she was our Oaklie.
It's 4 AM and Oaklie is 3 weeks old.
She's up every 3 to 4 hours and since I supply the food, I'm the lucky one to get up with her at night. Which i'm perfectly fine with since Devin works full time to support our family. I'm able to sleep during the day, while she sleeps. I give Mega props to all those moms that have two + kids that can't take those precious naps. I wouldn't survive without them. It's been a fun 3 weeks with our baby. definatly a life changer. It's way interesting watching Devin with his baby girl. she's so loved by him. I've never heard so much baby talk coming out of a grown man before! but it's so adorable. she's going to be a daddy's girl 100%. She already is.

10 weeks left!
Only being 10 weeks away from due date is pretty exciting, although at times I'd rather the baby stay in for another 6 months to a year so Devin and I can figure out how we're going to provide for this baby! Devin and I have decided not to go with with boarder patrol and move on and find something else. We've been waiting too long, and now that our baby is on the way we needed to make some changes. We've been living with Devins brother Kameron, his wife Miriam, and their kids Korbin (3) and Brody (1) since august and it's actually been delightful! we've had a lot of fun sharing meals and being able to play games and watch movies with Kam and Mim at any time. We're moving out into Devin's Grandparents basement the begining of May. It's a Two bedroom one bath Apartment. I'm very excited to decorate and use our kitchen stuff that has been in storage since August. We found a sturdy oak table on ksl with adorable benches. We're stripping it and staining the top of the table and painting the bottom. Devins mom is also helping us with our dressers that we're refinishing and putting them in the babys room. We're going to paint it a lighter teal blue and destress them, then put ornate nobs on them. I'm very excited to see the finished project!!
My Belly is getting larger ever morning, and that means it's getting harder to sleep and it's harder to bend over! it's been so fun watching my belly move... it's one thing when you can feel her kicking.. but watching her move is amazing!!! it's insain. I often find my self staring at my belly as she kicks away! I dream every night about what she'll look like! curly blonde hair, big blue eyes and a happy smile! although she'll probably come out with straight red hair, green eyes and a constant cry! we'll see... only 10 weeks left!!
